The Teaming centres of excellence in digitalised bioengineering and personalised medicine at the University of Tartu are expected to become lighthouses in the region, attracting the best scientists and bringing change to the innovation landscape nationally and internationally.
The 22nd Gene Forum took place, featuring presentations from 21 experts across Europe and the USA. Over the course of two days, they shared insights into their latest research, covering topics ranging from personalised medicine advancements to the genetics of mental health.
On August 30 at 10.30, Associate Professor Yannick Stephan from the University of Montpellier (France) will give a lecture on “Personality and Health and Cognition with Aging” as part of the “Between the Ears” lecture series.
From 24 to 25 August 2023, the 22nd Gene Forum will take place, which will bring together 20 prominent scientists from Europe and the USA to discuss advances in the field of genetics.
On 7 November, the Ambassador of India Ajaneesh Kumar visited the University of Tartu. During the visit, the ambassador had a meeting Rector Toomas Asser and the Director of the Institute of Genomics.
In the newly published ranking list of universities from emerging Europe and Central Asia, the University of Tartu has reached the second place, which is also the highest among Estonian universities.
