Registration
Participation is free of charge, but registration is required.
The first 48 participants can attend hands-on part of the workshop. These participants can use own genome data for CAD risk calculations with KardioKompassi. The participants considered registered to the hands-on part, if the blood is given to EGCUT in time after official registration: http://www.eformular.com/merike/epermed.html.
The lectures before the hands-on part are opened to all, but still registration is needed. The analysis of CAD risk score by KardioKompassi using anonymous data will be presented also in the morning session to all attendees.

No registration deadline for hands-on part. Registration will be closed immediately, when the first 48 attendees are registered.

The samples collected for hands-on training will not be placed to biobank repository and will be destroyed after training. All samples are handled anonymously (coding in use). All participants will have access only to his/her own data (link will be provided on memory stick before workshop). For genotyping, we will use Infinium Global Screening Array (GSA, http://www.glimdna.org/assets/gsa_datasheet_2016.pdf). Every participant will sign a consent form before giving 4 ml blood at Riia 23-109 (EGCUT facility). The data produced cannot be considered as medical data. The aim of the training is to give example how the genome data and lifestyle data can be integrated for risk calculations and how to interpret the scientific results. Equipment required during the web-based hands-on training: laptop computer.
Hands-on training is mostly targeted to MD students, residents and EGCUT scientists.
